Doctor’s warning after an ache in her own lower back leads to concerning discovery

Dr Jocelyn Fitzgerald, shares her story about the female penchant of ignoring pelvic pain and pleads with women to “listen to their bodies”. As a Urogynaecologist, she understands pelvic pain but says so many women normalise their pain and put their needs last that she feels it is a big component as to why female disease is discovered later rather than earlier. She says that people need to realise that pelvic surgery is major, major surgery and believes that it is generally not treated as such because of its commonality.
